Book Signing in Tors Cove this Saturday
This Saturday I will drive along the Witless Bay Line, always a bumpy and winding adventure, to Tors Cove and The Running the Goat Print Shop. Tors Cove is a very pretty spot south of St. John's, looking out over the Atlantic. The store itself is one of my favourite bookstores anywhere: small and eclectic and full of things I want to buy. And the printing presses are living history for book lovers.
Running the Goat publications are just as eclectic and delightful as the shop: This fall my favourites are The Degrees of Barley Lick by Susan Flanagan and two, count em, TWO! new picture books by the always inventive Lori Doody: Catalina and Mr. Beagle and the Georgestown Mystery.
I’ll be signing copies of The Dollhouse from 2 till 5 p.m., as well as other copies of my books. And chatting. And drinking tea. I didn’t tell you about the tea yet! I’m a bit of a tea fanatic and Marnie Parsons, the publisher and owner of Running the Goat, had a special tea commissioned for her shop: Goat’s Good Morning, a mixture of Assam, osmanthus petals, bergamot, ginger pieces, orange peel -- It’s so good! My latest favourite tea, and it’s only available at The Print Shop.
If you fancy a drive up the coast this weekend to Tors Cove, or on to Ferryland, please stop by and say hi on Saturday afternoon.
